Question
How can a loving God send people to hell?
Answer
The Bible teaches that God is perfectly holy and just. All people have sinned and fall short of His glory (Romans 3:23). Hell is the rightful consequence of rejecting God’s authority and forgiveness. God does not delight in anyone’s destruction but desires all to repent and be saved.
Because of His great love, He sent Jesus to die in our place so that anyone who believes in Him can have eternal life. Heaven and hell exist because God respects human choice. He offers forgiveness freely, but He will not force anyone to accept it. The cross proves God’s love while upholding His justice.
